Privacy policy
Applies to the PulsePath 3D game for Android.
Last updated: 26 October 2026
PulsePath 3D is developed and published by AVRTEC AB, a company registered in Sweden (org. nr 559386-4043). AVRTEC AB is responsible for the personal data described here. We have written this policy so that parents, teachers and older children can follow it.
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-in. You do not need to give us your name, email address or anything else to play.
- Your progress, records, trophies and settings are saved on your phone. AVRTEC runs no servers for the game and receives none of it.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Every ad request is marked as directed at children, so ads are not personalised and are suitable for all ages. Google receives some technical information to deliver them; AVRTEC does not.
- The optional Remove ads purchase is handled by Google Play. We never see payment details.
What is saved on your phone
- Player names you type in, and each player's progress, stars, best times, trophies, daily puzzle streak and chosen pulse colour.
- Your settings: sound, music, vibration and spinning boards.
- The answer to the birth-year question (see below).
- Whether Remove ads has been bought.
- A small play log: which levels were started, won or failed, how long play lasted, the phone model and screen size, and random codes made on the phone to tell sessions and players apart. It is kept to a limited size.
All of this stays on the device and is never sent to AVRTEC. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in Android's settings, deletes it.
The birth-year question
The first time the game starts, it asks for the year you were born. Google Play's rules for games played by both children and adults ask for this, so that children only ever get child-safe ads. At the moment everyone gets child-safe ads, whatever the answer. The year is stored on the phone and is never sent to us, to Google or to anyone else.
Ads from Google AdMob
The free version of PulsePath 3D shows ads from Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Google LLC outside Europe). We have set the ads up for children:
- Every ad request is marked as directed at children. Google therefore shows no personalised ads and no ads based on what you do in other apps or websites.
- Only ads rated suitable for all ages are shown.
- The game has no permission to read the phone's advertising ID.
When the game asks for an ad, Google's ad software on the phone sends Google the technical information it needs to deliver the ad, limit how often it is shown and prevent fraud. This can include the IP address (which shows roughly where you are), the phone model and Android version, the game's version, other identifiers such as the app set ID, and whether an ad was shown or tapped. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy and explains it on How Google uses information from apps that use its services. AVRTEC does not receive this information. In our AdMob account we only see totals, such as how many ads were shown.
When ads appear. A full-screen ad can appear after you win a level, when you leave the win screen. It never appears during play or when the game opens, and at most after every third win. You can also choose to watch a short video to skip a level you are stuck on.
The Remove ads purchase
Remove ads is an optional one-time purchase made through Google Play. Payment details are handled entirely by Google and are never seen by AVRTEC. The game only learns whether the purchase exists for your Google account, so it can switch the ads off and bring the purchase back on a new phone. Google gives us a record of each sale for our accounting, such as the order number, date, country and price. Google's handling of payment data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Permissions
- Internet and network status: to load ads and complete the purchase. The game itself plays without a connection.
- Vibration: for short vibrations during play. You can turn it off in SETTINGS.
- Keep the screen awake: so the screen does not dim while you study a board.
- Google Play billing: for the Remove ads purchase.
Google's ad and billing software adds a few technical permissions of its own for these tasks. PulsePath 3D does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or files.
Device backup
If Android backup is turned on, your PulsePath 3D settings and progress may be included in your own Google account backup, so they come back on a new phone. This backup is managed by Google and controlled by your Android settings. AVRTEC has no access to it.
Children
PulsePath 3D is made for players of all ages, including children. We do not ask children for personal information. The only things typed into the game are a player name, which can be anything and stays on the phone, and a birth year, which also stays on the phone. All ads are child-safe as described above. There are no chats, no messages, no social media links and no way to contact other players. A parent can delete everything by uninstalling the game, and is welcome to write to us with any question.
Emails and the contact form
If you email us or use the contact form on avrtec.se, we use what you send only to answer you. The website privacy policy explains this in detail.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies: the game's own data stays on your device and is not processed by us. We show child-safe, non-personalised ads based on our legitimate interest in offering the game for free, and we keep sales records because accounting law requires it.
How long information is kept
- On the phone: until the game is uninstalled or its data is cleared.
- Emails: as long as needed to answer, and no longer than 12 months after the conversation ends.
- Sales records: as long as Swedish accounting law requires, currently seven years.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because the game keeps its data on your phone, we usually hold nothing more than emails you have sent us. For the information Google collects for ads, you can use Google's own controls at myaccount.google.com or contact Google. If you are unhappy with how we handle personal data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten) at imy.se.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date above. If a change affects what the game does with information, we will also mention it in the game's release notes.
